Sleddding

Cole and Ben on our sled

The boys went sledding with their friend Cole. Cole has a nice small sledding hill to go on. We sent the boys outside and they had some fun. We had a few incidents. One of Gavin pushing Ben down because Ben wanted to go on the sled with Gavin and, Gavin wanting to go down by himself.

Deziree is 8 months old

Deziree turned 8 months old. I can't believe how fast it has gone. She is such a fun little girl that has joined our family and we have lots of fun with her.

She really enjoys feeding herself. If I let her feed herself at least one meal a day, she is content to eat mushed food from me. Her favorite foods to eat are: avocado (she actually smiles when she eats it), squash, carrots, apples, bananas (cut into pieces and not squished), and cheerios. She likes and begs for fruit snacks when the boys have theirs. I will give her small pieces of one fruit snack. She also likes food from under the table. It doesn't matter if I just fed her she will eat what she can find that the boys have dropped.

Where's Deziree?

Peek-A-Boo
Peek a boo is Deziree's favorite game. She loves playing it with mom, brothers, dad, and even her doll. She just laughs and has so much fun. Another game she likes to play is get the brothers. We chase them around and try and tag them.

Deziree is crawling. She can get anywhere if she wants to. One day I thought she was close by. I turn to where she was and she was gone. I asked David where Dez was. He found that she had followed Ben into the bathroom. Her top 3 places to crawl to are, the entertainment center (I have now duct taped or baby proofed it so that she can't get in), under the table so that she can get food, and where we keep our shoes (I didn't know that love for shoes started so young).

She still absolutely loves her mom. David can have her in the boys bedroom playing just fine. But when she hears me say anything she will want me. Gavin can make her laugh by just jumping up and down.

Dez grabbed clothes from beside her bed and pulled them in.

Cute smile!

Pulled herself to standing.

Merry Christmas!

Here is Deziree. She decided that sleeping in is not for her. She was up at 6:00 am, like every other day. As we waited for the boys to wake up she decided that the presents were just too tempting. We waited for the boys to wake up. They finally got up about 7:30.

Here is Ben with his big present. So it wasn't so big. He wanted Bakugon. These particular ones go together to make one big Bakugon.

Here is Gavin's big present. He got a Kid K'nex building thing with Elmo in it. He sure loves Elmo.

Here is Deziree's big present. It was a Cabbage Patch Doll. I loved mine as a little girl. She has loved when I play peek-a-boo with the doll, and to suck on the bottle that came with the doll.

David's good friend Chris, gave Ben and Gavin some small Pikachu's. The boys have enjoyed playing with them. He also gave them the first three Pokemon movies. I now get to enjoy Pokemon all the time.

Chris sure likes to give my kids noisy toys. This is a squeaking giraffe. Dez has laughed at the noise. Thanks Chris.

Adam had our name for Christmas. He sent the boys the new Lego Indiana Jones video game. Both Gavin and Ben have enjoyed it. Gavin's favorite things to drive/ ride on are the elephant and the tree cutter. The best thing about the game is when you play in 2 player mode, the screen splits and lets each person do what they want to do. There is no more of "Mom, he's not following me." And no more frustration with Gavin still learning. (well until you need the character to advance in the level). Thanks Adam.

Here is Dez trying to rip down the tree and ornaments. Gavin wasn't too happy about that. This is why I didn't put a  real tree!
